Presidio is a highly captivating duo with fans that are moved by their perfect harmonies and chemistry. Gabby, half of the duo, is a voice coach and director at a foundation that funds women businesses owned by women and women of color. The other, Will, was a music lover since childhood, creating bands at age 7. He was inspired by his mother who was in a 60's cover band.

First meeting at NYU in college, Gabby and Will got close after being randomly paired to perform in Berlin for the president of NYU while scheming a last minute cover of a Cure song. "In pure Diva Form, I changed the song last minute", remembered Gabby. They immediately recognized musical chemistry and began playing together. "Everything was kind of just thrown together and then it worked so we were like—okay shit I guess we should start a band.”

Presidio began performing in various cities and gravitated towards Portland after hearing about the thriving music scene. They mention Local Fest Connects, the Atlantis lounge, and Sofar Sounds PDX, as some of the communities that helped them perform and network since they have been here.

Presidio is also an advocate for mental health and psychedelic therapy. Gabby says, "something that's really important to us is to make that medicine more accessible for communities where it's either stigmatized just not accessible." 

Stay tuned for their record which will be recorded this summer by the one and only Steven (Our Spring Fest Sound Engineer). "We're so excited to be working on a piece of music that's really expressing things exactly the way we want it to." The message is ringing loud and clear.
